Youth employment and VET indicators

Four open indicators for twenty countries, drawn from the World Bank database, which republishes ILO modelled estimates and UNESCO enrolment data. The snapshot was retrieved on 2026-10-23.

Indicator table

Each cell shows the most recent value available, with its year in brackets. Values older than 2012 are replaced by "n/a" because they no longer describe today's systems. The raw snapshot can be downloaded as JSON.

Definitions and method

Short definitions follow, one per indicator, together with the original database codes so you can check the numbers at the source.

Data: World Bank World Development Indicators, which republish ILO modelled estimates (ILOSTAT) and UNESCO Institute for Statistics enrolment data. Snapshot retrieved 2026-10-23; source database last updated 2026-10-08.

The build script (scripts/data.mjs) requests the World Bank API and writes the snapshot into the repository; when the API is unreachable, the stored snapshot is kept. Primary portals: ILOSTAT and UNESCO Institute for Statistics. Vocational enrolment is classified by programme type and countries with dual systems may be counted differently, so compare with caution.
